Ruvina Ranasinghe, O.D.
Optometrist

Dr. Ruvina Ranasinghe grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, where her passion for science and healthcare first took root. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and went on to complete a Master of Science in Biology at North Carolina A&T State University, where her research focused on Diabetic Nephropathy. This experience deepened her understanding of the complex relationship between systemic health and the eyes.

Driven to make a direct impact on patient care, Dr. Ranasinghe earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences. With over eight years of experience in eye care, she has developed a special interest in managing ocular diseases, particularly diabetic eye care and glaucoma. She is also passionate about preventive therapies, including myopia control with MiSight and advanced dry eye treatments.

For Dr. Ranasinghe, optometry is the perfect blend of precision and compassion. Whether she's diagnosing glaucoma, managing chronic eye conditions, or helping a child achieve clear vision for the first time, she finds fulfillment in improving her patients' quality of life and educating them on the connection between their eye health and overall wellness.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Ranasinghe is an active member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the North Carolina Optometry Society.

When she’s not in the office, you’ll find Dr. Ranasinghe exploring local hiking trails, painting large landscape portraits, and creating intricate figurines. She also enjoys curating her growing collection of unique perfumes and candles.
