Dr. Erin Downing is a dedicated optometrist with a passion for enhancing her patients' quality of life through improved vision. Originally from Fort Wayne, IN, Dr. Downing graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in 2018. Her clinical interests are centered on specialty contact lenses, particularly for patients with keratoconus and other ocular surface diseases.
In 2012, Dr. Downing was honored with a Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and went on to serve as an optometrist in the U.S. Army for seven years. Her time in the Army brought her to Fayetteville, where she continues to provide exceptional eye care services. With a career rooted in both service and science, Dr. Downing is committed to improving her patients’ vision and overall eye health.
When she’s not working, Dr. Downing enjoys spending time with her two dachshunds, Astro and Hazel, crocheting, baking, and even unicycling. She is also a proud member of the American Academy of Optometry, where she has earned her FAAO designation.
