Dr. Fiona Yuan graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a BS in Integrative Biology in 2015. She then graduated from University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry in 2019. She completed her residency with Primary Care and Specialty Contact Lenses at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX in 2020. Dr. Yuan also received her Fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and Fellowship of Scleral Lens Society (FSLS) in 2020. Her clinical interests include Specialty Contact Lenses and Anterior Segment Disease. She has been practicing for 3 years while serving as active duty with the US Army.
Dr. Yuan was born in Austin, Texas but spent most of her life in Bay Area, California. She has always had a passion for medicine and providing care for underserved populations. Dr. Yuan had the unique opportunity to provide eye care to Afghan refugees during her deployment to Kosovo from 2021-2022. She looks forward to participating in more humanitarian missions in the future.
Dr. Yuan enjoys traveling and exploring around North Carolina with her boyfriend, Connor. They also have a Shiba Inu puppy named Kobe (named after the beef and the basketball player).
